Trailster

Kyle's great-grandpa Herb is a motorcycle guy to the bone. He was still riding until just a few years ago and he's in his 90's now. He knows Kyle is quite handy and likes to have a project to work on, so he gave this to Kyle as a gift:

It's a 1963 Cushman trailster that Grandpa Herb bought when it was brand new. He made some modifications and it got a lot of use back in it's day. Kyle was super excited to get it into our garage. Colby is super excited to help Daddy with his new project.

The first step is to totally strip it down and take it apart...

There will be several more steps along the way. It is definitely going to take a while to complete seeing as Kyle doesn't have a ton of spare time. But after the engine is rebuilt, the frame is repaired, a little yellow powder coat and new wheels and seats (I'm sure I'm missing a ton), it will hopefully look like this:
