Pardon Me

Way back in June, we introduced a new member into our family...

Meet Shelby.

When we got her, she was only about 6 weeks old, so that would make her somewhere around 4-5 months old now.  How rude of me to not have taken a picture and posted about her before!

 

Kyle's cow dog, Bode, got really sick a few months back and sadly, we had to let her go.  She was pretty old and tired, so it was definitely what was best for her, but it left a little hole in our family.  Kyle's great uncle John just happened to have some border collie puppies so he sent 2 down from Oregon.  One went to my mother-in-law (a boy we named Max) and we got Shelby.

 

She's a good dog, as puppies go.  She always tries to escape the yard, but isn't too bad about chewing or digging.  Presley likes the company, I think.  It will be a while before she's old enough to work cows, but we're happy to have her :)
