Every Memorial Day we honor those who have fought for our freedom by putting up flags and crosses at the cemetary. It really is a humbling and inspiring experience every time.
We had a very large turnout this year. People from church and the community donated their time and efforts to make the cemetary look great.
The large flags are donated by families. They are the very flags given to them by the military when their loved one passed away. Makes it even more special.
Even the little ones can get involved!
Livy wanted to pull the wagons all by herself.
To be very honest, the boys turned the crosses into swords most of the time...
Maci was there, too!
Thanks Nana for buying all of the kiddos their flag shirts :)
The end result is stunning. I didn't get the greatest pictures, but it brought me to tears.
Afterwards, the Barberich's had us over to their house for breakfast. Another photo opp!
Happy Memorial Day!
