November 14-15, 2015
Colby decided that instead of a party this year, he wanted to go to Disneyland! We were more than happy to comply with that request. Less work, more fun! We couldn't get away until after his birthday, so we invited cousins over for cake at our house to make his day more special. And since not everyone was available on the same day, we had the Medeiros' over on the 14th and the Robison/Cummings over on the 15th. His decision to not have a party actually resulted in more celebrating... smart kid!
Colby wanted to "decorate" so he put a blue tablecloth on the table, made a wooden sign and decided the theme would be "Captain Underpants" - thus the book on the table.
He opened presents - got some really neat stuff. An engine building kit, light up legos, a building set, etc. Lots of engineer/science things that he LOVES.
After presents and cake, the dancing began!
Uncle Cody can Whip, Nae-Nae!
Uncle Cody and Auntie Christa got him lots of books - which he was so excited about! One of them was a joke book.
The next day - the actual birthday! Sprinkle pancake time!
Colby opened his presents before church.
A marble run from Maci!
A giant helicopter from Dad!
That night, the Cummings joined us for more cake! He decided to change the tablecloth, but left the birthday sign up - silly kid.
Seven years is such a short time, but I can't remember my life without him.
