I'm not quite sure where 3 years has gone! I guess it's time for an update...
Maci is 34 lbs. 3 oz. and 37.25 in. tall. - healthy and happy.
She eats pretty much everything we put in front of her, in her own due time. Sometimes it takes her an hour to eat a meal, other times it's 5 minutes. Either way the last five bites left on her plate get shoved in at the same time so her cheeks puff out like a chipmunk preparing for winter. Her favorite food is cheese of any kind - especially cheese sticks.
She sleeps good most of the time. Somehow she woke up on her birthday and decided she was too big to sleep in a crib anymore. She slept in Colby's room a few nights until he decided that he didn't want her to sleep with him anymore. So our temporary solution until we get her a big girl bed is an air mattress on her floor. She is happy as long as it's not a crib, because she's a big girl and she's "free" you know.
She's social, but slow to warm up. It takes her about 20-30 minutes sometimes to break out of her shell, but once she does she loves playing with friends. She can be a great sharer or not depending on her mood. She loves playing with Colby, but sometimes that ends up with pinching and screaming and biting over a toy. :( Alivia is probably her favorite playmate besides Colby, as she gets to play every Monday with her.
Maci loves playing with her dolls and pretending she's the Mommy. She strolls them around the house on playdates or going shopping. Her other favorite thing - coloring. She always has crayons out and makes lots of pretty pictures. She has recently discovered cutting, stapling and taping so she's exploring those things, too.
She's Mommy's little buddy while Colby's at school. She loves to help me clean the house, water the flowers, and go shopping. She almost always wants to be right next to me helping. Her favorite show on TV is probably Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and she loves the movie Frozen. She knows all the songs and can quote most of the movie - I think she's seen it a few times.
She can sing her ABC's and count to 10, but doesn't recognize all of the letters yet. She can spell and write her first name, though. She knows all of her colors and is working on shapes.
Maci is so proud to be a big 3 year old girl. We are proud that she is ours.
