We put a lot of miles on the car in July ... first a trip to Utah, and now a trip to Oregon.
We told Colby that we were going to Oregon to visit Great Nana and Big Papa. I guess he got the word "great" in his head, because from then on he was excited to go to "Great Oregon!"
Here's the Rockin' DK Ranch:

The morning after we got there, Kyle helped Nana and Papa work cattle while Colby, Maci and I had a little fun in the barnyard. Colby wanted to climb to the top of the haystack, but this is as far as Mommy would let him go...

Papa was working hard ...

Got the cutest picture of the boys on the quad when they came back from changing water, and there is a darn light glare thing on it. Grrrr.

Maci loved being outside - but we had to protect her little bald head with a sunhat that was a little big. Without all of the pollution in the air to filter the sun, it would burn her in a second! ;-)

Probably Colby's favorite part about the whole trip - the chickens!

He would go out about 10 times a day to check for eggs. I guess it worked, Nana said they gave more eggs in the 2 days we were there than they had in weeks!

Nana and Maci having fun!

Colby found some blocks that Kyle played with when he was little. They made some cool domino tracks with them.

Nana and Colby having fun!

There were some thunder storms on the last afternoon we were there, so we got sent out with a nice rainbow...

It's nice to have fun places to travel to and we are so grateful to be able to go. I wish we could pick up Nana & Papa's ranch and move it closer to home. Colby had a blast!
