Halloween

Our Halloween was spread out over a few weeks. The first festivity was a trip to Zoo Boo with Nana, Auntie YaYa and the Cummings Clan. It's an event they have at the zoo every year where the kids can see the animals, trick or treat, and play carnival games. Our little dragon was excited!

Then it was on to the carnival games. There were a lot! Colby was fairly good at them, but had to learn a lesson in taking turns...

We probably should have looked at all of the animals first, because by the time we got done with the games it was already dark and we couldn't see much of anything. But Colby still had a good time. Thanks Nana for taking us!

The next day we decided to have our "pumpkin day." We headed off to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkins. The cheesy boy in the middle was my favorite :-)

After picking 3 perfect pumpkins, we headed home to carve. Actually, we just cleaned them out. I made yummy cinnamon/sugar pumpkin seeds with the remains...
Our plan was to carve the pumpkins the next day since they were so wet when we cleaned them out. But things got busy... in 3 days they were already mushy and rotting without even being carved! Waste of money there. After that, we never got around to carving any others so we missed out on that this year.

Then Halloween day was here. We didn't do any trick-or-treating this year. Colby is still a little young and we did get lots of candy from Zoo Boo. We just went to Grandma and Papa's house to take pictures with the Medeiros cousins. Here's Princess Keegan, Knight Ty and Dragon Colby...

I was a bit of a Halloween slacker this year. I never got a picture of Colby by himself, looking at the camera in his costume. We didn't carve pumpkins. We missed the ward Halloween party. I don't think Colby really knew the difference, though. We did have fun with the few things we did do. He's definitely not deprived, that's for sure!
