My 2 Year Old

So Colby is officially a 2 year old now! He weighs in at 33.5 lbs. and stands 35.5 in. tall. And of course we think he's pretty cool :-)
He continues to grow in leaps and bounds in his language development. The doctor was quite impressed with that. He is a pretty social little guy, but hasn't quite figured out how to play nice all the time when around other kids. We're working on that... Not potty-trained yet. My goal is to get there before baby #2 comes. He's starting to show a little interest, but I don't want to force it so we're taking it pretty slow. His favorite toys are still tractors, with an added train here and there and he loves to "fix" things with his play tools. Outside is his favorite place to be. His favorite books are his Thomas the Train books at the moment. He still gets up pretty much every night at least once to cuddle with mommy or daddy, which is of course more of a bad habit than a necessity.
Poor guy was a little confused on his actual birthday this year because we had already had a party. He got a lot of phone calls for his birthday and he would just tell me, "It's not my birthday. I already had a birthday." We still took him out for some ice cream to make the day special...

He was so excited that we let him eat it with his own spoon. But he did have to share his bowl with Mommy. Banana ice cream with brownies and fudge - yum!

He sure enjoyed it!
