My kids were both very excited for Christmas this year. I worked Christmas Eve, but had the fortune of getting Christmas Day off. When I got home on Christmas Eve, they were in their jammies and ready for Santa!
"Santa" aka me, worked all through the night to put together Maci's new play kitchen. I finally got it done at 3am, just as Kyle's alarm was ringing to wake up! It sure is cute, though isn't it???
"Santa" brought Colby just what he asked for - a loader, a racecar and a lollipop.
When they woke up, they ran right into the living room to check things out. Colby didn't mess around with stockings - he just dumped the whole thing out at once to examine his treats.
It took Maci a while to wake up and figure out what was going on...
Colby LOVES his Lightning McQueen racecar - it even transforms into Air Lightning so he can fly!
They got lots and lots of books - my favorite gifts :)
Maci got a cape and crown - which she promptly wanted to take off. Ok, fail for now, but she will grow to love them I'm sure!
Shopping cart - success.
Dream Lite - success.
Colby was so funny with his gifts this year. He slowly opened each one and said in a sweet but almost fake voice, "Oh, thank you thank you. I love it!" Then he would give me and Kyle a hug and want to play with it for a while. He wasn't in any sort of hurry to discover his next gift. Silly kid.
I found these adorable play masks - success.
More books - Caillou! Colby's favorite cartoon.
Colby was sad to see Fisher's note in the tree saying that he would be flying back to the North Pole and wouldn't be back until next year...
Mid-morning we rode the golf cart over to Grandma's to open more gifts!
Christmas present chaos as usual! Yep, that's a massive elephant pillow pet that Maci is sitting on. Yep it's hers!
Colby got a drum set - we're in TROUBLE!
He also got an adorable sweater, which he used as a target for his new "shotgun."
Mommy Maci got a baby she can feed. Love.
We went home to get cleaned up and came back to eat some yummy lunch :)
Home for naps, then on to Nana's for more yummy food and presents.
We got my dad a new Cow Parade figurine - something he collects to represent each of his kids and keeps in his office at the university. This one we got to represent Kyle. It's a cow laying on top of the farmer that was trying to milk her. Perfect!
The kids got "smencils" in their stockings. It's a pencil that smells good. So cool!
Colby got a Wipeout game for his Wii. He loves it!
Oh Christmas is always such a busy day! We are sooo grateful and blessed for all of the family we have and the bounty of things our children got. Holy cow now to find a place to put all of it!
