80 Years Young

This weekend we traveled to Nevada to surprise my Grandma Carol for her 80th birthday. We left early Saturday morning, made it just in time for the party, then headed back early Sunday morning. It was a very short trip, but it was well worth it to celebrate such a special lady and spend time with family.
I think Grandma knew something was up beforehand, but she was still surprised and honored that so many of us were able to travel to be with her.
The great-grandkids sang her favorite song, "You Are My Sunshine," Jamie read a poem, and some of us grandkids read a tribute to Grandma that Camille wrote. We ate a yummy lunch and enjoyed each other's company.

In all, Grandma has 5 children, 23 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way. Quite a legacy!
