Little Showman

Looks like Colby will be following in Mommy and Daddy's footsteps. We took him to the pee-wee showing event at the Caruthers Fair a few weeks ago and he loved it! Here's a pic of the cute shirt that Brenda made for him.

He was so very serious as he "led" the heifer around the ring. Whenever it would stop he would pull on the lead rope and say, "C'mon cow! Let's go!"

He got a blue ribbon! He was pretty excited about it!

Next it was on to the lambs. He could walk these around a little more independently since they were so small and didn't go too crazy.

The lamb was really more interested in eating his ribbon.

Whew, it was super hot in the show ring. So aftera ll the excitement, we stripped off the wranglers and traded them in for some shorts. Then it was off for some good eats at the fair!

Colby got to ride his first fair ride - the ferris wheel. He liked going way up high in the sky.

After that, we didn't stick around too long because we were hot, sweaty and miserable. Let's hope next year it's a little cooler!
