Splash!

I started taking Colby to swim lessons back in April. We go once a week and he's really liking it. They teach him how to float and blow bubbles and get to the edge and get out of the pool in case he falls in and that sort of thing. Surprisingly he really likes going under the water. His FAVORITE part is the splashing! The pool that we go to for lessons is indoors and is heated to probably about 75 degrees or so I'd say, so it's quite nice.

Now that it's finally getting kinda hot around here, we've started visiting Grandma's pool to take a dip, but the water is still pretty cold. He is not so into going under water and doing all of his swim lesson tricks when the water is freezing! But he still has fun...

I'm thinking we really need to go swimming in the cold pool more often so he gets used to it. Because if he does ever accidentally fall in a pool, it's not going to be a nice heated one I'm sure. He needs to learn to deal with the cold and take care of business!
