Super Mario

A few months ago, Kyle and I were contemplating whether we should buy a Wii for Colby.  He LOVES to play at Nana and Papa's house and begs to go over there and play all the time.  But then again, he's 3.  Does he really need a $300 gaming system?  We decided on no.

We did, however, find Kyle's ancient Super Nintendo with all of his old games.  This thing is 20+ years old and still works like a charm.  Now that is good quality stuff!

Colby has found a new love.

 And it goes by the name of Super Mario.

He's actually quite good at it (for a 3 year old).

We have to really limit the time he plays, because he would play all day every day if we let him.  He concentrates so hard on it.  It's funny to watch because he moves the controller all around and faces the direction he wants Mario to go.  Maybe he thinks it's really a Kinect ;) 

Now that we see how he is with Super Mario, I know we made a good decision by not getting the Wii.  $300 or free?  And I think he has just as much fun.  Can't beat that!
