The Greatest Show on Earth

The circus was in town last week, we very last minute decided that it would be fun to take Colby. Being soooo last minute, we had to go to the late show and sit in the VERY top row. Which was actually kind of a blessing, because it was far enough away that Colby could watch from a distance and not be too overwhelmed.
He was a little worried at first with all of the loud noises and craziness going about, but soon he was clapping and pointing things out and laughing.

Grandma and Papa Medeiros decided to come with us. Colby didn't want to leave Papa's lap for very long at a time. Not sure if he had a better view or just felt safe with Papa... either way I think Papa was happy.

By intermission, he was definitely happy to be there! His favorite parts were the elephants and the motorcycles in the ball of death. All of it made Mommy a little nervous!
About 3/4 of the way through, he started wanting Mommy and Daddy and he was turning around and not really paying attention. It was past his bedtime already, so we decided to cut out early after seeing the highlight:

Overall, we're very glad we went. Colby had fun and so did we! Next year, maybe we'll plan ahead a little better and get to an earlier show.
