We spent the 3rd at the Robison's for swimming, BBQ, fun time and then on to the fireworks show.

Swimming is always Colby's favorite thing to do!

Colby playing horseshoes - kind of.

Kyle and Jimmy played a game - Kyle's first time EVER playing horseshoes. Can you believe that? And, he beat Jimmy (but didn't rub it in at all ;-)).

Colby liked the sparklers. Of course they made me a little nervous...

Family picture with the sparklers!
Then it was on to the church parking lot where we had a nice view of the big fireworks show. Colby didn't want to leave Daddy's lap, but did like the fireworks.
At intermission, it was just too late, so he pooped out and slept through the second half. Amazing how he can sleep through a loud fireworks show, but wakes up at 5am when the tractor drives by his window...
The next day we had a BBQ at the Medeiros'.

More swimming, of course!

We didn't go to a big fireworks show again, but had our own out in the driveway. The kids weren't scared of these at all. Every time one went of Colby would make the above expression. Pretty funny!

I get pretty emotional on the 4th of July for some reason... and every time I hear our national anthem. I'm very proud to live in this country and am grateful for all who have sacrificed so that we can be free. How blessed we are!

So Cute! Next year he might not like the fireworks as much. Quin spent the whole time with his hands on his ears!
