EGGS galore!!

The day before Easter was FILLED with egg dying.

First off, Medeiros cousins...

 They dyed, then painted them.

 Hands got a little messy!!

 Maci just watched...

 and played...

 Next, we went home for lunch and more... egg coloring!

I tried to do different methods so Colby wouldn't get bored.  We put double stick tape in stripes on some and rolled them in glitter (no pictures of that mess).

This was Colby painting the eggs with chalkboard paint.

 I thought this one was pretty cool.  We painted them, let them dry, then made cool designs in chalk.  On the up side, you could change up your design easily or fix it if you made a mistake.  On the down side, the chalk rubbed off very easily when you handled the egg.

Next, it was off to the Cummings for more... egg coloring!!

First, we stopped to take a picture of all the kids with the bunnies that Aunt Janice made for them.  They were little pouches shaped like bunnies that "pooped" out candy.  Cute!

 Then outside to dye a LOT of eggs.  We just set them out and let the kids go for it free-for-all style.

 Maci was missing a nap and GRUMPY, so she stayed attached to Momma most of the time.

 Alivia was especially excited about the process.

 This is a very small sampling of some of our eggs.  We even dyed brown eggs, which took the colors quite nicely.

 After the egg dying was done, we had to take advantage of a photo opp with our eggs and the Cummings Clan's new Easter bunnies :)

 Say "Happy Easter!"

 Maci did half-way cheer up eventually.

 At the end of the day, we ended up with a nice assortment.

**This year I didn't hard-boil my eggs.  I hard cooked them.  Set them on an oven rack at 300 (or was it 350?) for 30 minutes.  Perfectly hard-cooked and peeled easily.  It is Alton Brown's method if you do a google or pinterest search.  I will definitely use this method again!**
