Today is Grandpa Gayland's birthday.
I'm grateful for bits of his wisdom left behind - especially in his own handwriting.
I'm feeling inspired to keep some sort of journal. Something for a future generation to read that is actually in my handwriting. Not just a blog or a facebook post or something else electronic. Something gets lost in type. I read somewhere that a mom got a dayplanner and wrote things down each day for her kids on the calendar portion. I think this may be doable. Less daunting than a blank journal page that I feel the need to write really meaningful things on all the time. Maybe once in a while something meaningful will pop through.
